Package setup

Nice list Haha. But it helps to have an overview like this. Mainly I have seen that these champs do required a little more research that most.
But having an idea of a package is a most. Everything online is 200 and up but you really not sure if you need all of that. Hope this help other. Thanks guys

I know I have to saved.. Don't want to be short of stuff. About to sell my tablet.. Less tech stuff for hubby for now.

Wait, you can save up first?!? Now I get it!:D

Haha, i saved up for a few months. My girlfriend that lives with me also wanted one so we just pretty much split everything in half. I suggest you guys get a sugamomma :p

Yup, i had to sell a few things but once you get everything up and running, it'll make your life 10x easier. I'm glad the list helped you out...I'm a visual type of person so it made my set up easier for me. Also you can build your own kit, make a thread and ask if everything sounds good, then go for it! Can't wait to see what you end up getting :D Start doing research on care taking, gutloading, vitamin supplementing, etc.

But what happens if you split up? You take the white part of the Cham and she gets the red n yellow?? ;)

Hahaha, sounds ideal for a split.
Kids passed by 2 Yorkies, gave one away, the other killed by scorpion in Nicaragua, bird and hamster.
Now is my turn for a pet that I really want to take care off.

Honestly I made the proper investment to begin with and I'm at the point where I can't remember the last time I spent $ on my Chams . (I breed my own feeders). The last time I spent $ was to switch out UVB bulbs.

That's the idea.. Even when I m stuck in my galaxy all night reading post and browsing online store. Is way to much info and all not the same. I get the whole environment, but the price of a starting kit it those scares anyone. That's when you start to noticed why you need some of the stuff. Those is make sence a $250 package and why would you need some of the things. That's the whole beginner idea. Most online store just tell you. Here's your packages pick one but is great to get some advice and a base for the right initial investment.

Geeze, You def need a chameleon then :D

I got my girlfriend a LionHead Rabbit, so it was my turn to either get a panther chameleon or a Brazilian Rainbow boa  , glad i went with the panther!

See, We spend allot at first. But we're set for awhile! I'll have a whole new set up if i decide to get another chameleon...

Lmao...Man, a white panther would look amazing! Kinda like a permanent shed mode lol.

Lol. I have 7 enclosures ranging from 16x16x20 up to 72x50x32 and only two chams. I have an aquazamp that could probably mist all of these cages at the same time. I'm just lacking chams and deco for 4 of the enclosures!

I'm currently breeding dubia and hissers and attempting to breed walking sticks and hornworms.

All of this after initially starting with a baby veiled that lasted 3 days, getting my 1st panther that eventually escaped, my verru that died suddenly and now my two panther boys. Sheesh, lots of activity in the past year!

Man...I live in a pretty decent size house, wish i could get atleast 3-4 chams haha. My aunt/uncle wouldn't cut it though since i'm currently under their household lol. One cham is enough for now, eventually next summer i want to get another panther. A mellers would be awsome but i'd need another room :D

But stick bugs would be amazing! You might have to ship me a few if you ever decide to breed them!

I have everything for another cham, just not sure if i'm ready to spend the extra money right now, this recent vet visit hit me hard haha.

I'm lucky enough to have my chams and enclosures at my warehouse. Being the boss brings me these luxuries. ;)

I have found keeping the Chams to be a tremendous cost savings as compared to my other sickness, I mean Hobby, of Reef Tanks......:D

As Gabe mentioned in his breakout, I am likely $800 or so into the animal and set up in entirety as compared to the some 50K I have into the tanks....

I guess the real point is, my wife is very much enjoying the Chameleons....

haha geeze, 50k? Your tanks must be amazing. You have any photos you could upload to your profile?

My cousin used to own a "hydroponic" shop that was split with a aquarium store. I used to want to get into a salt water tank with all those fancy corals, but some were up in the $1,000+ ranges haha. So knowing you've spent $50k your tanks must be ridiculous!!!

Nice!!! :)

The boss is always nice haha.

Hope redline gets the urge to go 100% with getting a cham! It's like a virus that people get...lol

I just threw a couple of random pics of one of the tanks in the 'other pets' forum. Gives you a lil idea.

Between the tanks, the cockatoo's, the various other reptiles I have kept and now the chameleons, my wife is a very patient woman.

I just remind her it is all still cheaper than hookers and cocaine.;)

One of the package, Plex cage not bad.. http://www.chameleonsnorthwest.com/catalog.htm?Iit=25&Ict=11
DYI cages are great from what I see.
Umm hard decissions... :banghead:
not too bad! And for $245 thats a pretty good deal...Just me personally i'm not too sure on the supplements they're providing.

If you have the extra money i would suggest one with a mistking system?

http://flchams.com/extreme-complete-chameleon-cage-setups-for-sale.asp

Or go with the small for $210 w/ no mistking, get that later when your cham is older. Just pay for $40 shipping and you have a real good start. (Has everything on that check off list i gave you)
