What has been your experiences with Oxytocin?
What dosage do you give? Do you dose on the pre-gravid weight or the total weight including the eggs?
How long does it take to be metabolized and leave the system? Every time my vet has administered Oxytocin (three times but once the vet gave an overdose of three times the amount she should have so that time really doesn't count), my females have labored for days after, even though the eggs were laid almost immediately after administering Oxytocin.
Both the vet I used last time and @ferretinmyshoes said it should be out of their systems in a few hours or a day. That has not been my experience with the quads and graciliors my vet has given it to. T.q.quadricornis and T.q.gracilior are both montane species and wonder if that is in any way related to their problems getting it out of their systems since montane species are notorious for having trouble with over supplementing.
