Ok for you guys that keep your chams outside, what to you give them for shelter against rain and wind other than plants?
I started Rupert's new 4'x2'x2' enclosure and on a trip back to town, I got some nice tall safe plants for him. I want to keep him outside for most of the summer and officially ruled out my front porch. I have very few neighbors out here but I'm afraid the teenagers that roam around will steal him.
My back deck has no roof so I'm trying to work things out for when the storming rain starts.

Just put a tarp or cover on the top on rainy days or you could build a roof on his enclosure. I never bothered w/that as my chams only stayed outside if im home and I brought them in in bad weather. I wouldnt leave my chams outside w no one home for fear of theft. I would be heartbroken if mine was stolen.

I don't shelter for wind or rain. I do shelter for the sun and heat for mountain species.

Wind and rain has never been a problem for them. Rain is just a chance for them to hydrate.

My chams stay out all summer.

This guy has set up camp in my back yard, I wonder if he is going to be a problem?
