outside light at night

hey guys, So i have a quick question.

after lights out at 8:00 ive noticed that the outdoor light fixture shines in the window and hits my chams enclosure. it doesnt hit it very much at all just a little sliver of light that comes from the side of the curtain.

Is this a problem? Does he need complete darkness at night?

depends on your chameleon. I have one that has to have total darkness to sleep and one that does not. Just go out there and look. If he is sleeping, then I would not worry about it! you can always throw a cover over the cage if you want.

watch your cham and see if hes staying awake.

if he is, then find a way to hid eth elight, if not, dont worry.

I use a blanket for my guy, he gets disturbed pretty easily

ok thanks guys. he was sleeping like a baby last night. so ill monitor him for a couple more nights to see if it is bothering him at all.
