Outdoor Housing?

First off....ITS GREAT TO BE HERE!!!!

So anyway, I live in south Florida(Miami/Fort Lauderdale area) and I was wondering If I could house a Panther Chameleon outside in a fresh air habitat? The tank would be under a covered patio and have partial shade, meaning that the chameleon could be in the sun or shade...much like basking...

I will mist additionally if needed and the chameleon will be taken inside when the temps go below 60.

Thank you all for your information.

(BTW I'm looking at Sambava and Nosy Bes.)

I house our panthers on the porch most of the year over here in Tampa. We moved them in just before Christmas, and are thinking about moving them back out in a couple of weeks. The only problems we have had is it got REALLY windy a few weeks before we got them in and saw some Upper Respiratory Infections in a couple of them. Overall though they LOVE being outside! Since you are farther south, I would be concerned with extreme temps and keep in mind that ambient temps above 95* could be detrimental.

Ok so I have to monitor the summer temps(above 90) and the winter temps below 60. I have tortoises outside too so basically I will just have to adjust the chameleon a few degrees. And during drought I would take him inside too?

Thanks! And trust me i will be doing homework until august(when i plan on the chameleon)

Pics when I get the cage(We first have to sell the adult panther that is already in the cage then I can buy the cage).

Thanks!!!
