Hi there!

I've been planning to get chameleons for many years, and just about ready to jump in. I live in Oregon, spacifically in the southern Willamette Valley. Anyone else out there from my area? If so I'd love to hear about your set ups, what species you've had success with, and any thoughts you might have about having chameleons in Oregon.

While no longer live in Oregon, growing up on the coast (Gardiner/ Reedsport) i kept a Jackson very easily. This was back in the mid 90's early 2000's. There wasn't a while lot of info then, and everyone thought he would die next week. My memory isnt 100% but i kept him for 8+ years. I free ranged outside in summer, and winter, he had a screen cage (it was a cage because it was all wrong). There isn't a huge risk of pesticide use out there, so i fed wc insects. grass hoppers, small snails, termites, and when cold, store crickets. You can keep anything anywhere. I see at least 2 members in Alaska....
