orchids?

I'm not finding anything on the toxicity of the orchids themselves... but I would be worried about the toxicity of the plant food you'd need to use to keep the orchids alive.

I love orchids, so I hope maybe someone with more experience could pop in and give us hope. I like to stay safe and use plants from the safe plants list, though.

yahh me too they are beautiful plants but right now i dont have any live plants because her home is only 18"x18"x30" im trying to find a notoxic plant that well fit in her home shes only 3 to 4 months i dont kno her exact age but im going off her size i cant wait for her to get big so i can get her a big cage and put all kinds of live big leafy plants in her home :D

Thanks! Hnn... it's looking as though the humidity (and a hungry cham) could destroy the orchid.

Have you tried schefflera or pothos? You can get both pretty small (and pretty cheap).

i cant find them anywhere though :( do u have any idea what stores would sell them i went to home depot ( thinking they had almost every plant out there) and they didnt have any of them

got mine from petsmart 2. had to take her to the vet but now shes looking really good. ate a fly a mealworm and like 17 crikets today :D. i hope shes not over eating tho.(opps. somehow this got put in the wrong thread. sorry for that randomness).

I can get orchids at a store called Meijer (don't know if you have those around you). I'd be more inclined to search for nurseries though, since I'd be able to ask the employees if any pesticides were used on the plants.
