I've read a few posts lately about people doubting their chams sex. Which in turn got me doubting mine. He's so young I know it is hard to tell. He has a strong lateral line when he darkens up but when hes light he has the little circles like the pictures of females I've seen. I had him out today to look for any sign of a bulge and he may have had a small one or it may of just been part of his vent. The pics aren't the best but I'm just looking for opinions. I'm not gonna lie I'm hoping for male.

Im just happy

I got the feeding and suppliment thing under control.

Boy/Girl, who cares!!! Chams are cool!

Early on when I first started posting here, I wonderd how it was that people could have 3 or 8 chams. Now I am beginning to see how the addiction takes root. First you think you have something, then not so sure, so you buy something else thats beautiful, and then you want something different. One is too many becasue a hundred wont be enough.

Living art, thats what they are. How could get tired of that!!:D

jeanjacket-do you have a picture like the last one but closer up-we need a sideways shot with the tail extended just like in the picture.

Its a female.

I know Juli just wants one more pic before she decides. She knows deep down though:p

Edit: A clearer picture would be nice though. One that shows the whole side profile with its tail sticking out.

I just want to help people see it for themselves-just like you guys did for me. It is one thing to just say it is a boy/girl, and another to show the person how to see it for themselves! ;)

I will try and get another pic when I get home from school the cham is so small my camera doesnt focus on it very well and always focuses on whats in the background. You guys really think its a female?

If you have a "micro" (is that the word?) setting on your camera-often symbolized with a little flower-you will get a much better shot of your little one.

I hate to venture a guess without a good pic-but I think it might be a girl.

you know i did not pay close attention to the last pic...i do beleave it is a girl...My little red female panther is my favorite....sometimes the boys can be over rated

Of course!!!:)

The camera feature is called macro and its used to take up close photos. As Juli said it is usually represented by a flower. It comes on almost every digital camera even the cheapos like I have:eek:

You are my kind of chameleon person. People wonder why I will take runts, problem chams plus all of mine, it does take a big bite out of my day but that is a small price to pay for watching these wonderful creatures.

I will post better pics tomorrow I don't really care about the sex it has a big place in my heart anyways. However I did pay for a boy and I like to get what I pay for.

Hope these help... it is a fantastic animal anyways oh and its probally only 1 - 1/2 months old. Lot of red coming in on its face and back.

I know you want a male but that is a sweet little girl. Contact the breeder or whoever you got her from and you could have a pair soon.:) Females have different issues than males but are nice also.
