Opinion On Reptariums

So, I was just ordering all my things for my baby veild that I will be hopefully purchasing soon. And I just wanted some opinions on the reptarium, I mean, the lady at my reptile store told me that crickets could chew through the mesh  I just dont want to order it all, and then find out, that I should of got a different cage, this will be for a hatchling male yemen veild,
Also, can some people give me some advice on what cage to go with? 14.5, 14.5, 25? Or the 16.5, 16.5, 30? I want it to last a while, and when he is an adult, I will move him into a bigger enclosure. And remember, a hatchling male yemen veild will be in this enclosure.

I don't think you really need to worry about crickets chewing though the mesh, they'd rather eat you plants honestly  but who knows. Regardless, your cham will probably gobble them up before they even get a chance to try, just be sure to remove any left over crickets it's very important that you do this. But perhaps you should think about cup feeding, it might be a more comfortable alternative for you.
Best of luck

if your getting a hatchling, get the small setup.. and i dont care for repatariums either.. screen cages is where its at, i usually put mine a medium cage around 4 months, a little big but i cut off half of it so they only use half then i allow to use all of it later, its a great setup, i would stick to screen cage, i love them, and wouldnt use anything else

No reptariums, don't worry about your crickets chewing through the screen, they won't live long enough to devise the plan. Make a cricket cup our of some kind of plastic bottle and some screen. I have found that most of the crickets will just hang out in the cricket cup since it gives them a place to hang on to after you throw them in.

ideal age I'd say is about 5-7 months if you dont want too young, Reptariums are no good for inside because they block alot of UVB. Outside they work great and are sturdy if you fill the pipes with sand.

Thanks for the replies, I think I am just going to keep on looking on the classifieds for a good cheap screen cage, thanks a lot for the help.

I use a screen cage for indoors and a reptarium for outdoor use. Hope that helps.
