Just wanted to share my utter sheer excitement!

Simba just ate from my hand for the first time!

Took advantage of the discovery of his fave food, a newly moulted morio

Just thought I'd give it a go and OMG he took it straight off my hand!

No hissing or puffing up or anything!

Wooohooooooooo!

Nice! I was also really excited when my Cham started to eat from my hand about a week ago. Then yesterday I coaxed her out of her cage a bit further with her feeding cup and she climbed right out onto my hand. Once she was done eating she climbed back up to her branches.

Awwwww! Well done both of you! Onwards and upwards for you both now then! I remember the excitement of the first time mine did that. With Amy, I wanted to jump up and down, but I knew I had to stand still and not scare her with a really OTT reaction, lol!

I know the feeling! I still can't get frankie to walts right onto my hand. He has been hand feding but last Friday was the first time he ate from my hand while on my hand! and it was lettuce of all things! Haha but again wonderful feeling that glimpse of trust is

I wish I had video of the first time mine ate from my hand. That was a great video. Thanks for sharing with us. It really is exhilarating when they take from you. The other night I was hand feed my Suse some mustard greens but for some reason she tongue snapped my thumb. LOL it was pretty fun. She must have thought i was a yummy insect.

I thought he was going to climb on my hand at one point, but when he didn't, I didn't want to rush him so I just backed off.

He ate another morio from my hand again today too....I'm over the moon!!!
