Old Age

I have a male vieled chameleon who is about 7 years old. Everyone says he is very old for a captive reptile. He hardly eats now - I feed him hoppers and spray him twice a day. Is this really old ???? - snakes live for years and years lol - I thought he would live longer.

yes, that is considered old in chameleon years. The oldest I have seen on here was 13 years old but that is VERY rare.

Yep. He has had a good and healthy life to live that long. His time is probably coming soon.

My male veiled is 5 now and you can tell he is getting old. his grip isnt as good as it was. He was my first chameleon so went through the learning curve of keeping chameleons with me. I hope he lasts a few years more as he taught me allot!
