The bulbs can cause "snow blindness" especially on a small cage like that. Your chameleon doesn't really have anywhere to go to escape the light. However I use those on my 260 reptariums, in fact I have about 4 on each cage. The cages are so big that if the chameleon is finished with the UVB he/she can move to a darker part of the cage. A lot of people have had problems with these bulbs and I can see where they go wrong. I have been using them for well over a year now with great success. It all depends on the set up. Check out my gallery "chameleon palace" and you'll see what i mean.
