Odd

Both of those are good, but you also definitely need calcium without D3. The calcium without D3 is used most of the time and the kind with D3 is commonly used twice per month.

Every week I use calcium without D3 5 days of the week, calcium with D3 or herptivite one day (I use them on alternating weeks), and on the remaining day I don't use any supplements.

Make sure you do get to that vet though because gular edema is JUST a symptom,
its not like a cold... it would be more like a cough (symptom) that went with a cold.

Normally gular edema is caused by over supplementing, normally vit A.
But blood work by a chameleon vet needs to be done to confirm it is actually
that.

If you don't get some blood work done its like fighting in the dark.

I am going to the pet store tomorrow, so I will get plain calcium. I was also wondering what people thought of the in cage water fountain things? When I bought him they said that's what he was used to.

thats not a good idea, can produce bacteria and make your cham sick, might help in humidity but plants and a dripper should be enough....i dont recommend it...JMO

Most people don't like them. They aren't really necessary and are hard to keep clean. I think just about everyone here uses a dripper of some sort. If you do a forum search on it I'm sure you could find a setup that works for you =)
