Now a Parsons

Yep, I got a male Ambilobe and a male Ambanja from Fram’s. Now I have picked up a 10 month old female yellow lipped Parsons from Rick Rose. She arrives next Wednesday. I called and spoke with Rick about care requirements. I then called and spoke with Bill Strand to order an atrium with screened front doors. In the interim she will be in a XL reptibreeze with schefflera and birch branches. I am over the moon to have this baby dinosaur and can’t wait to set up her forever enclosure. She should be fairly small for a good bit, according to Rick. But I’ll be ready. Look how little she is!

My boy Blu is from Rick, he’s a YG he will be 3 in November. It was a pleasure working with him and my boy is very healthy! We got him at 7mos and he made it in a 2x2x4 until 1 1/2. He began roaming all over and scratching at the bottom so we knew it was time. They are hilarious in their own way different from the panthers. You are going to love it. Cant wait to see her pics with you.

Next a carpet cham for you! That’s what I did. I told my husband, I need a little one to eat the excess small feeders, a big one to eat the big feeders and my 2 panther boys to eat the in between. That way you never have excess! I mean it worked for me😉.

Blu is amazing! What a distinguished gentleman :). Rick was telling me males in the wild get huge but these captive bred and raised Parsons don’t get anywhere near as large, and the females are smaller yet. I still expect her to be larger than a big panther but we shall see!

Now that’s efficiency! Yep I currently have 100 silkworms and they’re huge, no way possible I can feed them off. Maybe I’ll throw some to the birds.

Let them make a cocoon and put them in a shoe box on paper towels, they will turn to moths mate, then die. They don’t even fly. I’ve done it myself. Tried to feed the moths off after mating but my chams were not interested. The eggs stick to the paper towels and you can remove them. Try to make babies with em.
