I can't get this little girl to eat! The vet said to leave crickets in for 24-48 to see if she will eat! Idk what I should do here I put a cricket down her throat today but I can't continue to force feed here! I love her to death but that is just too much! I need some ideas please and advice? I dont want to have to give her to a good home cause I have so much invested in her but i dont have the time to continue this! It's a constant source of stress for us both and I hate worrying about her!

If you need help please provide more detailed information, chameleons being lazy is not an answer and you should consider seeing another vet, one with chameleon experience
Have you tried other feeders? The petshop chams near me get so tired of crickets that they let the crickets die in the cup but I give them some dubias when I stop by and they destroy them. The easiest to get alternative is super worms but should not be the staple food. Petco carries black soldier fly larvae. If they don't take the larvae, let some pupate into flies. If they don't eat them, something is really wrong. Other great feeders for a picky eater are green banana roaches and hornworms. Make sure your cham is hydrated. They may refuse to eat if dehydrated.
Also, how old? did the vet check if shes gravid? They often go off feed before dropping eggs (even if infertile).

Agreed. Most reptile vets have limited or no experience with chams and the info that is available has changed greatly in the last 10 - 20 years.
If I had the money to go to another vet I would! But considering my vet had successfully spay her I think hes the right guy! I have very limited funds at this point and I was thr reptile and aquatic specialist at Petco for fours years! I did not purchase her from a retail store! I got her as a young baby maybe a week or too old tops! I had her spay because she wasnt giving up her eggs! The spay was success until a few weeks ago! I noticed she was bloated and apparently he missed a sliver of an ovary and apparently that can happen talk to a couple people with the same issue! We redid the surgery for free the monday before last! Unfortunately she had no interest in catching anything I have crickets and waxworms but thats all i can currently afford! She was eating about 3 or 4 days after her first surgery which was about two and half months ago but this time is different! Her colored look fine and I did take her to the vet on monday morning and they did force feed her and I had been force feeding her prior! She is on .05ml of baytril. She did poop yesterday looked normal no yellow or orange! She is about 6 or 7 months old can be certain! I have her in a mesh open air cage 30x30x18 length height width I have a 36 t5ho high output light and a 100 watt baking bulb her cage is kept at 86 -88 in basking area and mid to high 70 elsewhere! I have an umbrella tree/plant and a pothos all of which are safe! Thats about it!
I also tried sweet potatoes correct and parsley food processored with wax worms on top
I'm just trying to do the best I can with what limited cashflow I got! It wasnt and wont always be like this my current job is very slow and is just now starting to pick up and once it does we can get her a whole variety of whatever she wants but right now I'm tapped out and she always comes first

I’d really look into some hornworms very beneficial feeder. There bright green color can intice feeding. Also for 15.00 for 25-30 can’t beat it. Great Lakes or amazon comes from same place
Glad she eating something. Usually they eat veggies as a source of water more than nutrition.
I've never had problem with crickets biting my chameleons. If there is other food or live plants the crickets are going to go for that. I would be more concerned if the chameleon was sleeping on or very near the bottom of the cage.

If Gus doesn't eat 2-3 crickets before bedtime and I don't fish them all out, I have resorted to putting a small carrot down on the bottom of the cage and any further absconders come to surface bb am, plus they have left my sweetie alone as well.
But, Jackson's, or I should say mine has taken zero interest in plants, or veggies as of yet....he is still quite young tho as far as I can tell.
