Not eating

Hey guys, my male veiled is a bit older than 5 monts and he doesnt eat as much as he used to for the last week, he has been eating one or two dubia per day or a superworm, today he hasent been eating at all.

Physically he looks fine so I cant determine what would be wrong with him.

He does drink tho.

Has he shed recently? Sometimes they will be in a mood and not eat when getting ready to shed.

The major causes of males not eating are stress, too cold, shedding.
There are a lot more, but one of those is usually the case.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, 5+ months old. In my care since he was 3 weeks old.
Handling - No handling for a month or more, before once a week.
Feeding - Dubia, Superworms, mealworms,crickets. twice a day 5x feeders. Gut loading with apple, carrot, keel, vine leaves.
Supplements - Daily calcium, 1x month D3 1x month multivitamin.
Watering -Misting and a cup at the top of the cage, I see him drinking.
Fecal Description - Black and pure white. never tested.
History -

Cage Info: Screen cage, 1.20x60x60m

Lighting - Exo Terra Repti Glo 10 CFL, 23w 2600K CFL, 100W Incandescent bulb. 12/12 light cycle.
Temperature - 29 Celsius under basking bulb, 23 to 24 in the rest of the cage and 21 over night.
Humidity - Not measuring, spraying 4x a day
Plants - Ficus benjamin, devils ivy.
Placement - Corner of the room, no high traffic.
Location - Croatia, Mediteranian.

I'm sure someone will chime in today. Did you mention when he shed last? Are the pictures in the album recent? if not can you take a couple new ones to see if their is a change. Looks good to me but, I'm a newbie.

If it hasnt been that long since he ate last and he is still drinking maybe he is full? My male oustelets stops eating sometimes for 3 days when he is about to shed. You can try offering another food? Is his behavior any different?

try to offer veges, this may sound like a long shot as most veilds don't eat them. my 4.5 month old veild stopped eating i tried giving him everything, as a last resort i gave him collard greens an kale and now he almost easts a full leaf a week (along with his insects). something in the stomach is better than nothing.

if your veild doesnt respond well to the veges dont worry loll most dont. But if you find your cham is still on a hunger strike get a fecal done, he could have a parasite!

The pics are fairly recent, he looks fine to me, his colors are bright, he is active around the cage, drinks from leaves. i dont recall when he last shed but it was a month or more ago, cant really remember. he ate 2 feeders yesterday and nothing today. i can try giving him some veggies.

About the fecals, I dont know any reptile vets in my country what so ever.

Try silkworms. My veileds rarely refuse them.
They also LOVE locust. When I drop locusts and crickets into my baby's enclosure, he will pick locusts and then eat crix later on.

One word of advice would be to get a hygrometer. Testing the humidity level should not be overlooked. Too little or too much can lead to respiratory problems and big vet bills (or worse!). They are not very expensive, and can give instant feedback on how your misting pattern should or should not change (50% to 60% is good for veileds). My male veiled loves veggies! Kale, collard greens, and mustard greens are good choices. I don't leave them in the cage all the time because he will eat them more than his feeders!

PS... My little guy will not eat much for a day or two here and there, usually after he eats a big meal. Also, right around the time he sheds.

Koopas appitite changed too, but he is eating larger prey! Im thinking thats why!
