Not eating

My female veiled has not been eating for about a week, I think she recently became receptive, is it normal for a receptive chameleon to stop eating?

Here’s a few.

Try to leave her alone/undisturbed as much as possible.
Make sure the laybin is moist enough and the substrate is something she'll like and that its deep enough.
Pray she lays them soon and isn't eggbound.

Hello, I’m starting to get worried about my chameleon, she hasn’t laid yet and it’s been almost 2 months since she got her orange/blue markings and became receptive

Is she lethargic? Sitting low in the cage? Sleeping during the day?

Please post photos of her egglaying bin. What substrate are you using? Is it moist enough to hold a tunnel? How deep is it?

She sat on the bottom of her cage 2 times for a few minutes but it was like a week apart, no she doesn’t sleep during the day, everything is normal besides the 2 times she went to the bottom, she started eating again. Her lay bin is about a foot deep with 8 inches of substrate, the substrate is soil/coco coir and it does hold a tunnel ive tested it by digging one with my hand.

Some signs are lethargy, sitting low in the cage, eyes shut during the day, etc...but by the time they start acting this way it's getting to be too late to help them.

All you can do is make sure she has a proper lay bin in her cage...don't disturb/handle her if you can possibly avoid it...cover the sides of the cage...don't let her see you if she's digging.
Other than that you could see a good chameleon vet and see if she/he thinks a shot of calcium and oxytocin would help.
Don't forget...I'm not a vet.

It's a catch 22 situation. I hate that it's so complicated.

If you leave her she's may lay the eggs...or not be able to. If you take her to the vets for the treatment I mentioned, if the timing is right it might help her...but if it's not right it won't work...and if it's too late the eggs might be too large and cause other problems.
Sometimes there are fused eggs or deformed eggs and she'll never be able to lay them.

If she can't lay the eggs then the only option is to have her spayed but it needs to be done before she's showing the signs I mentioned or her chances of survival are not good.

Awful ...isn't it?
I wish I had better things to say. :(
