not a cage, not free range but... a shower?

so i got the a-o-k from my mother to make my veileds cage the downstairs bathroom shower.
its not a tub, it's one of those walk in showers. Its about... four times the size of my cage, and much larger upwards. if you guys want exact measurements i can do that, but i was wondering if this is ok?

i was thinking of getting a night-light with heat because it's downstairs and we get some pretty brutal winters.
if it gets cold down there... i might get a heated vine. she has gone through my winters in my room, which is all the way upstairs... my room is the coldest of all rooms, but it's the basement this time, so im sure it's colder down there.
a heated blue bulb for the nights, and a heated white bulb for the day, how is this?

i want to use it because it has a built in drainage (duh . )
and because it seems to offer good ventilation, because the shower was built by my uncle... the shower has small holes (like 4"x1') about 3 at the very top, providing good ventilation, and obviously the entrance which is also good ventilation.

also it has a sink next to it, and a bathroom. so she can use the potty and wash her hands LMFAO.

but no honestly its so that i can dump the poop in the toilet and give her water from that sink.

what do you guys think? if u want any more info please tell me

It kind of depends. I think you can get away with doing this.its an interesting concept. However, several things.
1- NO NIGHT LIGHTS! i get that it gets cold, but if you need to get the night temp up, get a space heater. chams need dark to sleep.
2-i would not recommend heated vines, as they might get too hot and burn the cham feet.
3-since you say the temp drops so much, it may nto be a good idea to put your cham down there. as you will have to constantly run the basking bulb and the heater, whihc iwll def raise your electric bill.
I hope someone else chimes in. as this is a new one for me. and i think i speak for us all, when i say this is a new one for all of us. ;)

Veiled adults can handle temps that are very very low. In the wild they even survive short exposure to temperatures below freezing. Just give her a nice basking spot to warm up at in the morning and she should be fine.

I have a free range in my bathroom as well. It works well as long as everything is set up right.

yeah i mean this is a mere concept right now. i'd love to do this and some help would be great.

is it possible to house two veileds in here? would anyone need exact measurement to tell me? it'd be great if someone could chime in.

Even very experienced members do not attempt to house multiple chameleons together because the animals can stress to the point of death. Those stress signs can be very difficult to see, especially if you havent been keeping for very long, and even more so if you don't know the animals habits. It is possible to keep two veileds together, but I highly suggest not doing it for your animals health and safety.

A ceramic bulb is best in the cases where it gets below 45-50 ish (in which case I wouldn't house the animal there anyways!)

i've had my cham for about.... 5~ months i would say. maybe 4 1/2

what if the size is big enough? is there such thing? i've seen a free range video of two panther chams together, and they were directly next to each other.

what if its 1 male and 1 female?

Again, it is possible, but not a good idea for someone with little experience. Keepers who have years of experience with multiple different species wont even attempt it.

It usually takes more room to house two in a free range than if you had them separate in cages.

You do a male and female, you are asking for babies! you are not ready for them, trust me.

and if you saw panthers togethr, they wre probably being bred.

Yea, that can be an oversight. :p
I dunno about black bubls, do they emit any light?
and why not just get a space heater?

a black bulb emits a really low amount of heat... its like putting a black shirt over a normal bulb, it gives it a really low amount of light. i intend it to simulate moonlight

a space heater? like the ones with the wires that heat up?

You are better off with the ceramic emitter. They do not put out any light.

sorry i meant ligh.t.. not heat. it emits a low amount of LIGHT

i'm also afraid that she might get burnt if she were to touch it... it's a small bathroom tbh, but the shower is large enough. it would heat up very quickly with a bulb i'm sure of that
