Nosy Be's

I'm in LOVE with these Chams! I'm starting my research now on them, hopefully I'll be able to get one sometime in the future (although I haven't seen any for sale online or anything). I'm already addicted to Chams, they just take over! I think you all know about that!:p So, any things to know about Nosy Be's in particular? I have a Veiled right now, so I know about general Cham care thanks to lots of research and all of you. Also, any experiences with them that you could share would be great.

Thanks!

There really isn't anything specifically different about one locale's care or personality over another locale, so that's good.

They really are beautiful, I was so happy when I got my little Nosy. It was my dream locale! I've had a strange situation with him where he is 5 months old now and hasn't grown from 3 months old, for no aparent reason. But at only 11 weeks old he was already a pale baby blue when completely calm! He had lots more color at that age than my ambilobe, which was also really neat.

Screameleons.com has some, I think. Good luck finding one!

He hasn't grown any?? That's odd, but I guess it doesn't matter if he's healthy... I'm jealous, they are my dream locale too!

Screameleons, looks like they only have females available and I'd really like a male. My local place (and sponsor on here) TikiTiki Reptiles says they are still growing a clutch. Hmm.. I'm sure it will happen eventually!

Chameleon company, in fl. Seems to always have a new bunch of nosy's ready for sale. I see the ads on these classifieds, along with kingsnake.com's classifieds. Take a look!

Care is similar to a veiled,

Except:
1. Humidity should be aimed at 60-70%
2.Basking temperature should never exceed 90 F. 85 is the ideal temperature for life with panthers
3. They are a little more prone to respiratory infections due to higher humidity, so have a chameleon ready vet and money for a visit in reserve.
4. Prepare for awesome coloration and some of the biggest sweethearts the chameleon world can offer.

I Love my Sambava and Ambanja :)

i just got my first cham about a month ago and hes a nosy be. so far hes been good, eating a dozen or so of crickets a day, plus as a before bedtime snack he gets a few silkworms or waxworms. at the moment he is in his fifth month and showing some nice coloration. care for him is simple in my belief but i prepared his new home with a drainage system so that i dont have water leaking all over the place from the dripper. so far so good and i am now planning on purchasing a female or two for my NOBE :) hope you get yours soon too!!

Yea, we can't figure out why but he eats and drinks and poops (negative for parasites) so who knows, maybe he'll just explode in size in the coming months. :) I got mine from Chameleon Company, and I really enjoyed buying from them, they were really (and still are) super helpful at answering my questions and helping me out. They didn't have any babies up on the website when I bought my little Cobalt, but they were advertising on other places. So you can just shoot them an email or find their posts in classifieds.
