Nosy Be?

I bought two nice Panthers from somebody on Craigslist a couple months ago. One was a blue Bar Ambiole and the other is a female Nosy Be. The Ambiole is obvious, but pictured is the Nosy Be. After doing some research I thought all Nosy Be's had blue. She doesn't have any blue and she's typically pale looking, but here is a picture of her when she is a little pissed off. Can you guys confirm that this is a Nosy Be?

in general female panther chameleons are earthy colors like that, its very hard to tell apart locales when it comes to females.

yes female panther chameleons do not display vivid colors as their male counterparts. However, that does appear to be a True Blue Nosy Be Female.

ya like they said, nosy be females are nothing like the male nosy be's .. i usually see them pinkish looking like that.. but im no pro.. im just assuming to me .. it looks like a nosy be

Ahh, didn't know that about females. I was told she was sired by Curufin at Kammerflage Creations. Her colors aren't much when she's not mad. And I was told she will be a year in September, but she seems so small compared to the male Ambilobe which is 14 months old. He's a big boy and has great colors, but I cannot get him to display his true colors. He is impossible to get mad and has never even puffed up. He is from Screameleons. Only issue with him is he has to be handfed. He uses his tonque and everything when he takes it from your hand, but he will not go for it even if it's in front of his face in the cage. I haven't tried cup feeding yet. From what I have been reading, a lot of Panther males have this same issue. But he is so docile while the female is a mean old bitch!

there is a way to tell for sure (well, 99% anyway). get your hands on a male that you know for sure is 100% nosy be, mate them, and wait about a year. you'll have your answer when the offspring get around 4 months. and that will only tell you yes or no. if its no, work your way through every locale until you get a match.

outside of that......your outta luck.
