I know I wasn't sure if sometimes they change rapidly from a young age or can show other colors he's only 3 months old... but we kinda figured we got screwed when we got him he was brown and ran so of course we didn't have anything to go off of until now.... disappointing we didn't get what we thought but I wanted to make sure because the breeder is a friend and I didn't want to confront him unless I was sure

The orange definitely looks ambilobe, but he will go through some pretty wild color changes in his first year or two of life. So don't read into his current colors too much. I have an adult Ambanja that has been on a roller coaster ride of color changes, and went from almost completely teal to completely red in a few months... and that was at 2 years of age! Enjoy the ride.

Thank y'all so much for all the info we are so excited! Always wanted a Nosy be but honestly these little guys make us so happy it doesn't matter what he looks like! I will keep updating with photos! Can't wait for the next shed!!

What you have there is a F. paradalis.

Fixed ;)

Agree with others on the color changes as he gets older. His current colors are practically meaningless. Also, there is little to no way to confirm locale with 100% certainty as there is a great deal of variation between F. pardalis in the same locale. That is one reason why people here recommend only purchasing from trusted breeders.
