Camille, try offering different food everyday if possible, and yeah its normal for them to hide all the time, its what they do
When you mist try to use HOT water since when you spray, it comes out warm....My cham will run from cold water but just lets me spray him when its warm.
Sleeping during the day is not good....Try filling all this out for some better answers

* Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?

* Current Problem - The current problem that you are concerned about.
