Non toxic materials

I'm going to create a rock wall for my cham using most of the materials and techniques from lizard landscapes. I bought the Polyblend brand grout and acrylic paint. My first inquiry is will the grout and acrylic paint be okay after dried and sealed? I did research and it was very controversial on whether or not to use that or some sort of non toxic plaster and sand. Next, aside from Shields All (nontoxic all purpose sealant), I was wondering what the next best thing is. I found Mod Podge Outdoor but didn't know if it would hold up to the weathering based on reviews I saw on sites such as Amazon. I also read about people using a water based polyurethane coating claiming it would be OK after airing out for a few days. Any ideas on this? I feel posting on here would yield many responses, anything will help. I just don't want my cham to get sick as I'm sure many of you are just as paranoid as me about.
