Non-egg Laying Females?

I'm really new to this site, but I was wondering if there are any types of chameleons that don't lay eggs if they haven't been mated or even seen a male for that matter.
Thanks in advance :)

I think a female Jackson's (or any of the live-bearing species) would be your best bet. Other females can be persuaded to lay fewer or no eggs by keeping temperatures a little cooler and food on a strict diet but Jackson's incubate eggs internally and essentially give birth, so they do not go through the process of digging a tunnel, laying infertile eggs, burying them, etc.

They can drop infertile eggs but they are poorly calcified and this happens relatively rarely. Again, they will not go through the process of digging a tunnel for them, they will just drop them from whatever perch they are on.

So there is no chance of one becoming egg bound or having any special needs (like moving her to a place she can dig).or will she just maybe plop them out, and that will be the end of it

I've never heard of a jacksons female having difficulty with laying slugs (the infertile eggs sacks that would have become babies if they were fertilized) though I suppose it could happen. It appears to be pretty rare for a female to lay slugs if they haven't been mated. To ensure she hasn't been mated, you would need to buy a CB or CH female that has never been in contact with a male. They do not dig or need to be moved if/when they lay slugs. They just drop them in the cage and the slugs fall below her.

There are actually some CH females that are in the classifieds right now. Here is a link to them:
