No one likes hornworms!!

Just got my very first ever shipment of hornworms.
Bought 2 containers of the small ones.

Well Smeagol, my veiled , is not very picky but he was not very excitted about
them. He does eat them, but takes him a long time sitting there staring at them.

My male jackson will not have anything at all to do with them; get those things outa' my face!!

My leopard gecko ate one, after staring at it, studying and rolling it around with his nose. He ate one, and that was all!!

Now I am stuck with all these hornworms only Smeagol will grudgingly eat!!

Maybe I should try them

My jackson loves them, it does take her a LONG time to try anything new though.

Put one in his cage, and dont give him anything else that day.

Ill bet he will like them if he tries one.

i never had this problem mine will damn near take your finger to get at a worm of any type, no hesitation at all you present it and bam its gone. Id say just keep trying there great feeders if you can get your chams to accept them vast amount of gooey liquid in them, great for hydration

Yeah they are pretty cool looking too.
Maybe it's that bright blue that throws them off!?

I really want my guys to eat these things before they grow up and get too big!!
Are they like silkworms and grow really fast?

yea they grow at an alarming rate ive heard that you can put them in the fridge for a bit to somewhat stunt there growth but id look into it a little more there should be some threads that can help you out

Haha I just posted in another thread stating that my little guy only like a to eat darker colored feeders. Maybe it's a trend!!!!

Interesting, I was at one of the local reptile shops I deal with yesterday, and he had some nice hornworms, I wanted to try them out but the price was insane ! they were charging $1 ea ?!?!?! at that price it would cost more to feed just 1 of my chams than my Pitbull !, but I have to go back there today, I might buy 1 just to see if my male eats it, just for laughs.
