Good Afternoon, my Chameleon Enthusiasts!!

My Spike never hisses or flares up. He's already 4 months and I've maybe only seen him flare up once, right after I fed him a superworm. Is it possible that just that comfortable with me handling/observing him or could there be something wrong?? Does that aggression come with age? Any insight would be much appreciated!!

Probably a combination of things...he IS comfortable with you and his space at this age. As his hormones kick in he may get more territorial which is normal. He may also be a mellow laid back guy. Nothing wrong with that! What does he do if he sees himself in a mirror? That often triggers a color flare up. Not something to do a lot as that will frustrate him, but once in a while won't hurt.

Mine is about 9 months old and he never fires up or gets angry. Just super mellow all the time. I've tried putting him in front of mirrors but he doesn't care.
Like people, some are quick tempered and some are really laid back.

I haven't placed him in front of a mirror yet, but that may be an idea just to see if he's not defective (lack of a better term) lol. Thank you, Carlton!

Well then, so far, I really got lucky!! He's super sweet already, too! When I open this enclosure, he'll come to the front from where ever limb he was perched on, even when he knows he's not getting fed (feeders already in there). I've only had him for a month and already i'm super obsessed!! I have 2 cats, had turtles, just a menagerie of animals, but this is the first time I've ever joined a forum.

I just cannot wait to watch this lil guy flourish!!
