Hello,
I have my lovely new veiled chameleon (female) in a 92cm tall reptibreeze, packed with branches, vines and real plants.
She's 5-6 month old and stays a lovely green colour mostly, occasional blue flashes, only seen the brown once so far. She's called Budgie.
She's quite timid though and certainly won't hand feed or cup feed or take from my extra long tweezers. She will bask in full view as long as she can see the screen between me and her but when I open the cage she does a runner. So I have used the "chuck a few critters in and let her find them" method of feeding which is proving quite successful. She seems to enjoy the hunt and is definitely eating. The trouble is, the uneaten ones seem to find her irresistable, crawling all over her, settling on her head, cheeks etc. She doesn't seem bothered but will they be damaging her?
Everytime I see it I squirt the damn things with the mister gun but they soon find her again. I can't catch them, theres so much foliage and they're faster than me and I'm getting worried. Also, obviously they get involved in the 3 times daily misting which washes all the supplement dust off them.
I'm struggling, sorry
