Shooting adorable I want one so bad. Are they easy to care for?

Yes. Basic fish care. They are kind of dirty with their food and poop but weekly 50% water changes seems to do just fine. Our water comes from a natural aquaphor nearby so maintaining ammonia and ph levels have been very easy but I believe it can be challenging and cycling the tank can take many weeks in most cases. When I got Sunny I was not told of this and just threw him in a tank with water conditioner. Since learning more and checking his levels all are within range so I kind of skipped that step! Eats pellets and red wrigglers.

Interesting things about the axolotl:
1. they can regenerate limbs to include the feet and toes.
2. Although the majority will never turn into a true salamander by absorbing their gills. There are some (very few) that do loose gills and need to come out of the water like a salamander (not sure why and it is not because of lack of O2 in the water). Awesome to have witnessed both occurrences. Very cool to have. That being said, 1 is good enough since you will get 1,000 of eggs if you have pairs.
