;)Came across this site by accident. Glad to see there are lots of people on here to help people like me who are new owners! That's great. My b/friend and I have 2 Panthers, an Ambilobe/Nosey cross and an Ambanja. I bought him the Ambanja from LLL Reptile. His name is Krueger. He's great, but doesn't like to be messed with at all! Attitude! The other one Psycho is just fine when you hold him. He is a little spoiled I have to say and will not eat out of a container in his cage, so we have to take him out everyday to feed him. So he gets handled often, and doesn't seem to mind at all. In fact he seems to get a little mad when you put him back in his cage, then after about 5 mins. or so he's fine. I love these little guys! I call them our boys. My daughter loves to see them, she hasn't held them yet, I want to wait until she's older and understands how fragile they really are. Incredible little things I tell ya!

Well, welcome to the forum.
Keep us posted with the animals from LLL.
A lot of us have wondered about the quality of their animals.
Please post pictures of them sometime.

Thanks! Let me tell you a little about LLL. They are great! I researched everthing before I made my first purchase. I have to admit, their prices are what caught my attention. I ordered my first Cham, he was an Ambilobe/Nosy and I had him delivered at work, I left early and got him home. I had everything set up the night before so he could get comfortable right away. He was SO tiny, I wasn't expecting him to be so small, they had told me he was about 8 weeks old. I have to say he was probably like 3-4 weeks old. He wasn't even the length of a pen. I think I still have pictures of him. I named him Wildfire, because at the time, those masive fires in Cali were going on, and they had to pack up and drive to another location some miles away to be able to get their reptiles shipped to their new homes. They were great about everything! But that little guy didn't make it, we had him for almost a week. It was really sad! But I called and they asked a TON of questions and gave us a TON of really good tips on what to watch for. Being new owners, we didn't know everything. They sent out another one right away, but they didn't have any of the same breed, so we got the Ambanja, which I named Krueger, we got him on Halloween! And boy oh boy, he's a monster! He eats so many crickets, I can't believe it! When we decide to get another Cham, we will be getting one from LLL. I was really nervous about shipping them, but they assured me that they would be fine and well packaged. They really were. I was relieved when I opened the box, and saw how well they were secured in there! We buy all of our supplies from them too! I'll see if I have the pix here at work and then post them.

That is great to hear.
Most of us here do order supplies from them.
I have a some coming in later on this week actually.
We would love to see pictures of your chameleons though.

Welcome :)

Welcome to this group :) The best thing you can do for your new chameleons is to stay with this group and read the posts every day. One of my favorite wild caught chameleons came from LLL Reptile. I know some other people that have gotten nice captive bred chameleons from them. There is one thing I would advise though. When you can manage it, I would get a fecal done to check for parasites. LLL Reptile does not breed their own chameleons. They buy them wholesale from a large number of breeders. They do not do fecal checks. This scenario greatly increases the chance that your chameleon has some sort of parasite. As seen in some previous threads in the last week, they are present in captive bred populations and they are very hard to erradicate and easy to spread. If you get the fecal check done and treat any parasites (if there are any) your chameleons will be able to go on and live a very healthy life. If there are parasites, they can build up over time until they cause life threatening health issues. Time also increases the difficulty in erradicating them. Once again, WELCOME :)

Oh wow, I will go get them both checked! Thanks for the tip! Question, is there a way to get more space on here for pictures? I only have like 3 pix and it won't let me upload any more.

Great how long does that take? LOL. Well I guess I can always attach them to my posts or something so everyone can see.

It usually takes about a month to become a member, but you need to be active.
From junior to member you need around 100 post or so, and time.
From member to senior member takes reputaion, time, post, threads.
Just give it time.
