hi i bought a veiled he is now 2 but as it turns out is a she. she climbed down too the subrstrate today an started diggin she has made a hole a little over a foot deep. i asume she is laying so my question is do i still keep the same routine lights on/off misting etc i am a tad concerened as we didnt realise he was a she so i never gave extra supplements thanks for any info

Yes keep lighting/misting the same.

If she is trying to lay leave her alone as much as possible, i have heard of people actually putting cardboard or towels around the cage to give her more privacy.

Hey just to let you know, don't double post threads, it's spamming. Someone already replied, see? Keep doing everything the same I believe, don't watch her!

Don't let her see you watching her while she is digging. It may make her abandon the hole.

When she is done laying the eggs, let her fill in the hole completely and return to the branches before you dig the eggs up.

You can turn the lights off as usual. Some people feel more comfortable leaving a small night-light or red light on if she'd digging into the night - so she can more easily find her way up to the branches.
Give her plenty of water in the days after she's finished back in the branches.

still no eggs

there are no eggs yet she is backbranches it has been 24 hours since she dug the hole should i feed her?

Are you sure there are no eggs? You want to minimize your interactions with her until she's laid the eggs. Perhaps she didnt find the substrate suitable or perhaps she was disturbed. You might provide a better laying bin. Assuming she has eggs, it is important that she lay them. She might dig a couple of test holes but soon she shoudl pick one and dig for a day or two until she is satisfied that its deep enough. If she stops digging for a couple of days you should then start to worry.
Do not let her see you when she is digging ...it could cause her to abandon it and if thats happens too often it could lead to eggbinding.

no eggs i think

ok so she has filled in the hole and she is sitting on top off it i think she may be dehydrated i am still worried about her but hopefullly she will be ok
she is still sctive but doesent seem as active as usual

She should go back up into the branches and then you can feed and water her well. If she doesn't go back up in the branches then you may have to move her...but give her a while first.

she slept back in her normal place last night she is drinking again and this afternoon she ate 4 mealworms (her favourite food) with suplements on she still doesent seem quite right
