hi there iam new to having chameleons but have read up alot before i bought her,i do want to pick her up now and then (i know some dont like to be picked up alot) i got her out last night and she was fine,she is about 8 weeks old ,iam just dont want to stress her to much by picking her up
so i just want to know if it all right to handle her while she is young to get her used to being picked up ?

everyone says not to do it all but i dont give a crap because my veileds loved to be held so i hold them for a few hours evry day and they dont even stress, but hold her alot because i bought my boy at 3 weeks old and didnt hold him for a while and know hes really aggressiveso hold yours alot

yeah when i picked her up she puffed her body up a bit ,and then she settled down and was walking up and down my arm,iam going to pick her up every other day for now ,and she how she get s on thanks for your comment

Only hold her if she doesnt seem to get stressed about it. If she does, dont. the temperment of a cham varies cham to cham. If she seems ok, you can hold her everyday, but dont do it if she gets unhappy, even if you want to teach her to like you.

Congrats on your new chameleon and welcome to the Chameleon Forums. I keep veileds and mine are very friendly. Female veileds can and often do start laying eggs as early as 5 months old even without a male around so the second blog is for the laying bin and egg laying.

I agree with Camimom, only hold your cham if she isn't too stressed. Make sure to be careful as at 8 weeks she's still quite fragile and accidents can happen so make sure you are very carful.

Also all chams have different personalities. You do not have to handle her a lot to get her used to you, my cham was rarely handled as a baby but loves to come outside and explore. Just depends on your cham. Welcome to the forums!
