New yemen cage

Hi.
Im in the process of planning a new cage/enclosure for my veiled chameleon.

I was thinking about building one then had the idea about a big parrot cage instead.
He lives in a screen cage just now and I have no issues with humidity and heat ect so im guessing him being in a parrot cage wouldnt make any difference because it is a similar design.
Im thinking of having a good covering of vines attached all around the back and sides so if he decides he wanys to climb on the sides he's climbing on the vines instead of the actual bars themselves.
Also im thinking the lamps ect could be attached to a chain above to allow me to adjust temperature when needed also this would stop the lights actually touching the bars. Maybe have a modified screen top.
Any input or views you guys have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Abe

I would be afraid his casque would get caught in the bars of a bird cage  Not to mention not being able to free range any feeders for him. Maybe some type of mesh to line the cage might be a good idea? :)

Feeding isn't an issue. Hes usually hand fed or I watch him feed also feeds from tubs so there wont be any bugs getting loose.

U can also play with the distance between ur vine ,basking spot instead going all out attached a chain on ur lamp, use a temp gun to measure all the correct temperature every where in the cage,so he can choose where ever he needs to stay in the certain time.

Yeah my temp gun comes in handy,it's probably best purchase I've made.

Still unsure about the cage though. .
