Hello!
I got a new female Veiled chameleon two days ago from PetSmart. She is somewhat aggressive as they had her in a tiny tank. She is about 10 inches long. Her exhalation is a bit forced. I was going to get her a screen zoo med 24x24x48 but I was readvised to get a 40g breeder with a screen top which I did. She was green the first day and now is brown, dark green, and sorta purple, I have a dual dome of 150 watts and an 18in tropical uvb light on her. I mist her twice a day. She a bit round also so I'm not sure if she may have eggs or not. There's a lot going on. But should I switch her to the zoo med? Is that better or will that be too cold? My room is very warm as I have three other tanks already. THank you!

Fish tanks are not advised and screen would be best. Terrariums have the bottom venting for air circulation, the tanks do not, So they are more desired than actual fish tanks. Here are some important links for you to read. The first one is a caresheet and how to set up for Veild chameleons. If your room is warm, she may get overheated in the glass. The second link is how to set up a laying bin for a female to lay eggs. Please post some pics of her and we can tell you if she is female or not. If she is an adult or close to it, we can tell by her markings. The easiest way to tell is by the back of the back heel. Males have a things called a tarsal spur which is like a little point, the females do not.

Thank you! I will order her a 24x24x48 right away. I should have listened to myself and done that right away. This is Nova:

Yes, I believe that is a female by the markings. If you could post a pic of the back of the back heel I will be able to tell you for sure.

You have a female for sure. Do you have a laying bin for her? I recommend providing her with a laying bin at all time. They can lay as early as 5 months old and they don't even need a male around to lay. Here's a blog about female care and a couple links about egg laying and the laying bin.

I will be adding a laying bin in a few days as when my new screen terrarium comes. I'll have more room to put a suitable one in. That will be here by Wednesday so she will have it by then. Thank you for the links, super helpful!
