hey guys i just picked up my male juvenille chameleon at the white plains reptiles expo in ny from beegerboxes. hes an awesome bright green almost showing his stripes. now ill post pics soon but i have a cup on the side of the enclosure so i can put the crickets there is that a good idea? he woulndt eat it from there but when i picked up with tongs he ate it from there. how do you guya feed your chameleon??

I just let the crickets loose in their cage. My guys and girls seem to like hunting them. I tried cup feeding but they weren't too into it.

I only cup feed worms. The crickets always climb out. But, I do what Kelz said, they like to roam around. This gives them exercise too :D. That way they don't get too fat :D

I cup feed. However I have a female that will not cup feed so she gets hers let go in the cage and my male needs to be fed the same way he is getting fat.:D

I've never had a problem with crickets getting out of a solo cup, the kind you'd use for a kegger/ beer pong :). Just make sure the cup isn't clear or he might try to shoot the cup and damage his tongue. Since I only feed a couple of superworms each time I just let them go on the screen near him and he always gets them real quick.

I have a seperate cage with crickets in it since my family isn't too keen on keeping more than a couple dozen at a time. I take him out to feed him in there once in a while so he can eat more, otherwise I try to cup feed him.

I feed superworms the same way by just letting them crawl up the screen 1 at a time. With crickets I free range but all my Panthers are now over 12 months so the enjoy then hunt :D

I cup feed using some deli cups that are slightly opaque so that the chameleons don't try to shoot their tongues through the side. I cut the bottom out and replace it with screen that I glue to the bottom. This way no water will stay in their from my mister. With the slightly see-through cups the chams can spot the feeders from anywhere in the cage. All my chameleons are old now though. For babies and juveniles I would recommend free range feeding so that they can get the exercise
