New Veiled Chameleon Owner

I just got my male veiled chameleon a new cage (three feet tall). I'm worried about him falling because he's slid a couple of times already and he's never been very graceful in the first place, but I've seen other cages that are much larger than mine. Are my worries unwarranted?

Are there lots of branches and greenery in the cage?

baby chameleon? Older chameleon with worn nails? Sticks in the cage for it to grab onto? I have had chameleons that seem to not be what you would call graceful. at all. As such with those rare few ill use a substrate of moss so they have less of a chance hurting themselves.
