New to the Forum

Hey everybody, i live in Fontana, Ca and my name is Branden. I have 2 veiled chameleons, 1 male and 1 female. They are about 1 year old and they have mated. She should be laying eggs any day now. I just wanted to find a place where other people like to talk about chameleons. I love my chameleons, they are great reptiles. I've been looking at the website and it seems like all you guys know alot about chameleons and are very passionate about your chameleons. I just wanted to say hi to everybody before i started posting on threads. Thanks

Welcome to the forums, and congrats on the mated pair and incoming eggs!

And, just because we love chams and love to hear that everything's ready..., do you have the sand box that is at least 12 inches deep and filled with damp sand or organic soil ready for your girl to lay eggs in? You can (if your tank is too small) put a smaller bin in and move her to the larger one (like a cleaned out garbage can) when you notice she's digging. I've heard a lot of cham breeders have chams who will dig into/through the night, so don't be surprised if she does too!

Hello & welcome to the forum. Another so cal person, who has a chameleon club in the neighborhood. It is in LA, so a drive but doable, at least you are going against traffic. You will find lots of great people on the forum and in the LA basin club.

I leave it in the cage, the cage is big enough for the bucket. i have 3 branches that go into the container, my cham will go inside the container and look at everything. She seems fine with the container being in there.

Thanks. I did alot of research online before i bought a chameleon. I wanted to make sure i could properly take care of one.

i have a vet down the street from my house, i took my chameleons there when i first bought them to get them checked out. There was nothing wrong with them. I have never needed to take them back. I havent had any problems with them.
