New to the forum and chameleons

Yeah, I plan to switch to non-D3 soon here. Is there a brand of calcium supplement you like? I was thinking of trying Miner-all or Rep-cal. Suggestions are always welcome.

As far as the light. I believe the number on it is 25 UVB. The brand is Zilla.

Both Miner-al o and Rep-cal calcium powders are good choices.
Im not a fan of Zilla lights.

New picture. Just taken!

sweet - thanks for sharing the photo

Thanks, it has been a lot of fun watching him grow and develop. Seeing the coloration start to fill out has been very fun. I noticed that he is starting to develop a lot of stripes on his tail now. Only a matter of time before he takes on his adult color patterns (and adult attitude I imagine)!

Uploaded a photo but want to take a better one...

Took some better photos with my Rebel last night which I will post when I get home. Thought I would observe- the last few photos posted really do not do justice to his emerging color patterns. It has been a lot of fun seeing the colors emerge has he matures. Lots of yellow around his stripes. I will try to get a photo of his tail on my break. He is developing some cool strip pattern there too.

Here is a photo of my daughter letting the chameleon crawl on her for the first time. I think this is the first time she has ever touched him.

Really bad iPad photo by the way. Lost my SD card...

She did very well with him, although he was starting to get a little homesick for his cage at that point.

You're a brave man than me! I'd be so nervous about my 2 year old little girl hurting the chameleon the whole time.

Isn't it fun though watching how excited the kids get with all the animals? I love taking my daughter with me to get feeders she just points and laughs at all the reptiles.

Oh trust me, I was very nervous and was watching her like a hawk (well... I was sitting right in front of her the who time). She only had him for a minute. Shes a really good girl, if you tell her to be very careful she tends to listen. She really cares about animals too, so if you tell her to be careful so not to hurt a lizard she tends to take that seriously.

Mine are the same, they have always been very careful and respectful of animals. I have pictures of them with a huge Burmese python that they got very attached to on the Herps and Sprogs thread!

My eldest wants to work in a zoo, my youngest wants to breed pythons! Giving them the gift of a love of animals is wonderful.
