Hey guys and girls, im new to this forum and i was hoping i could get some help with my cage and other stuff,

here is my info
Chameleon Info:
• Your Chameleon - veiled, male, not sure, under a year for sure. it has been in my care for about 5 days
• Handling - i have only handled him when i change his cage/add stuff to it?
• Feeding - adult crickets? around 1 a day? midway through the day like 4:30 to 5:00? I use flukers cricket quencher and flukers orange cube's?
• Supplements - none yet, im oipoen for suggestions of what type to get?
• Watering - i use a dripper, i have a bowl with a wire top to catch excess water? once every couple of hours, just until i have gotten most the leaves wet and the bottom wet? yes, i have seen him drink a couple of times?
• Fecal Description - have not seen him poop, havent seen any around?
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
• Cage Type - medium zilla fresh air screen habitat, 24L x 12W x 26H?
• Lighting - Zoomed reptibasking lamp, Zilla slimline tropical fixture for UVB? What is your daily lighting schedule?
• Temperature - Top Ranges from 67 to 75, humidity is around 40-50, i know its low, im trying to get a mister ASAP (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? Measure them with petco velcro thermometers?
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
• Plants - none at the moment, i will get some soon though? If so, what kind?
• Placement - on a dresser about 20-35 inches from the ceiling? it is not near any vents, it is in my room? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
• Location - Dallas, Texas

Are there any good misters i can get for cheap?
How often should I have my dripper running?
will he be ok without any heat lamps on at night?

those are my questions for now, if you could respond that would be really awesome, thanks.

here is my info
Chameleon Info:
• Your Chameleon - veiled, male, not sure, under a year for sure. it has been in my care for about 5 dayspost a pic of him on your hand, ill tell you age.
• Handling - i have only handled him when i change his cage/add stuff to it?
• Feeding - adult crickets? around 1 a day? midway through the day like 4:30 to 5:00? I use flukers cricket quencher and flukers orange cube's?he should be eating like 5-10 a day, not 1! and you need to do research on gutloading your crickets
• Supplements - none yet, im oipoen for suggestions of what type to get?repashy all in one calcium plus, repashy is a site sponsor, buy some. its used daily.
• Watering - i use a dripper, i have a bowl with a wire top to catch excess water? once every couple of hours, just until i have gotten most the leaves wet and the bottom wet? yes, i have seen him drink a couple of times?remove the water bowel, he can poo in it and it can grow bacteria
• Fecal Description - have not seen him poop, havent seen any around?

Cage Info:
• Cage Type - medium zilla fresh air screen habitat, 24L x 12W x 26H?
• Lighting - Zoomed reptibasking lamp, Zilla slimline tropical fixture for UVB? What is your daily lighting schedule? 12 hours on, 12 hours off. and throw out that zilla light. get a reptiglo or reptisun 5.0
• Temperature - Top Ranges from 67 to 75, humidity is around 40-50, i know its low, im trying to get a mister ASAP (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? Measure them with petco velcro thermometers? you need a higher basking temp, like at least 85 in his basking spot. and he should not have any lights at night
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
• Plants - none at the moment, i will get some soon though? If so, what kind?scheffelara, pothos, theres a safe plant list on here. click the resources bar at the top, in green, and click safe plant list

Are there any good misters i can get for cheap?mistking, 99 bucks starter kit
How often should I have my dripper running?all day, not at night
will he be ok without any heat lamps on at night?no lights at night, if the temps drop below 50, get a ceramic heat emmiter, no light, but provides some heat.

those are my questions for now, if you could respond that would be really awesome, thanks.
welcome!
all my answers are in red.

Are there any good misters i can get for cheap?Aquazamp, mist king and monsoons are good choices imo.
How often should I have my dripper running?Throughout the day. i usually set mine to drip about every 3 secs of a live plant.
will he be ok without any heat lamps on at night? Yes, as long as the temps d onot fall below 50 degrees. If they do fall bellow this i would suggest a ceramic heater.

Here is a basic care sheet. you will need to change as needed in your situation.

Cage:24x24x48' SCREEN cage lots of rope, vines and live plants if you can. Live plants will help with the humidity. Make sure you cover the soil with screen or large rocks. Put cage as high up in the room as you can. Not near any vents, fans or windows.

Lighting: 5.0 reptisun or reptiglo linear tube (length depends on cage size)/house hold bulb for basking. The house bulb watt will depend on how far your nearest branch is from the light and your ambient room temps.
Ask us about mercury vapor bulbs.
***change UVB bulbs every 6 months.

Temps: Basking temp 90* for a male low 80's* for female / ambient temps 72* measure by digital guages.

Hydration: Manual spray 2-5 minutes/2-3 times a day. Provide a dripper. Misting systems are very benefitial.

Feeders: Gutload (24 hours before feeding) Crickets, mealworms, silkworms, hornworms, dubai - turkistan - discoides - hisser roaches, reptiworms, BB flies, moths, butterflies, mantids, cicadas, katydids, spiders, butter worms

Gutload (crickets, roaches, mealworms): I do make this gut load and if you are interested in purchasing some pm me.

My Veiled is in my avatar, thanks for the info guys, seems like alot of stuff I need to change, do you think he will be fine for a while until i can buy the stuff? BTW, i am going to home depot tomorrow to get some plants for him,

I have become a huge fan of zilla. i dont have any experience with the slim line but the T8 tropical fixture and bulbs are the shizznit. In my honest opinion they are one of the best out at the moment.

I would change everything you can..as soon as you can.
