New to chameleons need help

I am thinking of getting eather a panther or a vailed. My concern is that where i live (Seattle) it gets cold durring the winter 30 deg. and we turn off the heat at night so it gets cold in the house. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep heat and humidity in my reptarium. Would it be better to have glass or screen or I have seen one with the front glass and everything else screen. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks

you can use a ceramic heater that will produce heat but not light, that would keep him warm at night but still dark so he could sleep

Welcome to the forums! This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I agree with brandychams about having a ceramic heater. That would be a great way from keeping him from getting to cold at night. I have a blog for new keepers that I'm attaching for you below.
