View attachment 209466 View attachment 209467 View attachment 209468 Hello there! So I finally have everything set up and ready for our Chameleon to come home today! I will be off for the next three days. So I figured that would give me the time to be able to make sure he’s comfortable. I could use any criticism on this please.
First issue is that at night the whole cages temp only goes down to about 78 maybe. I feel this isn’t low enough?
Second is I went to do a 3 minute misting this morning when I did lights on. The humidity jumped up to 84. Temps are solid 90 basking 73 cool. Again I live in Tucson Arizona. It’s usually very dry but yesterday we had a little bit a rain. With my swamp cooler going that can make it pretty humid in my house. Is this too much?
I have the Big Dripper going constantly During the day for drinking. I had started off with the fogger so it wasn’t as easy to get it humid (not using that anymore). After realizing I still had all three sides covered with saran wrap. I took one down and I’m going to see if that helps (if I should try and lower the humidity a little bit). The one I took down has the air vent blowing right at it. So I directed it down towards the cool spot in his enclosure. I heard that it’s good for them to have a breeze going through? I have yet to see if either temp or humidity drop. Giving it an hour. I hear that can be too high of a humidity especially for Vieled Chameleons? I just want to make sure that everything is perfect for when we bring our baby home.
This is the cage now.
