new setup

I used them hydroponic balls for my monitor setup....worked for awhile, then the female started digging to lay eggs and she dug threw the screen and had them all spread throughout the enclosure.......big mess!!

setup looks sweet....thinking of doin something like that for my leaf geckos

yeah but monitor like to dig big time so that is asking for a mess lol yeah i like it so far maintains humidity real well but heartagramtc i don't understand what ur saying? i don't have any still sitting water other than what i use to water the plants and i make sure the soil drys before misting and everything? i know terrariums require extra and different care other wise u have to redo it and that is something i don't want to do as it was fun the first time not so again

I would lose the fogger completely, put some good branches in there, add some dead leaves to the bottom and put a trio or so of pygmy chameleons in it. You only need to mist once a day in these enclosures to keep the humidity high enough for montane chams or pygmy chams. If it were me, I'd get rid of one of those two trees and replace it with either a schefflera or ficus. They just have more branches and foliage cover which are good for chameleons. The plants you have really aren't good chameleon plants.

i was waiting for you too post hahaha...... yeah i know i was trying some other plants as i like how they looked and i have a tiny schellera growing outside waiting for it reach the size if those don't work out....i have some baked mazanita and bio vine going in there with some fake vine wrap as well....i only mist in the morning and maybe once at night depends on my house temp and how dry vegas is at the time. my question to you is do u use a dripper? and the fogger was only there as i have this retarded fascination with taking pics with it as it makes it look a little more jurassic park feel i only use it on my screen enclosure. also how long does it take from first planting for the plants to fully root themselves in.
