Do I see hydroponic balls? Have you used them before and if so, how well do they work? What size is your viv and how much h-balls did you use? Reason I ask is I have an exo-terra 36x18x24" and 5 lbs of h-balls -- definately not enough for the area I need to cover, but I was considering a mixed drainage substrate -- that I would like to set up. I would like to do the straight h-ball drainage with mesh separator and leveled substrate of charcoal and sand/husk mix. Would love to hear whatt you have done and if you have any suggestions.

jannB- ummmm no clue but now im everywhere looking for something cool and squishy too watch like a stalker lol

lauire- i wish buts its too big for such little guys i have a 10 like this that i would use as this is 24x18x18 inches

ijim- i live in vegas and there is this stoner store next to unlv and they sell a small bag of it and i used the whole bag as i wanted at least 2" of hydrolite and it works amazing at retain humdity i set this up at 1 and watered and misted and fogged it once and the humidty is still 60 plus :) im really pleased about these tank

I dont think you should put anything in the cage, jsut keep the fogger going and watche veryone that comes over stare into it looking for something

dude u have no idea how much fun it is for everyone to try and see whats in it.......nothing, absolutly nothing but they try so hard to look past the fog hahahahahaha brings tears of laughter to my eyes :) and yes i used my coco puffs and my pets now drink chocolate water :)

HAHA yeah my boyfriends friend came over the other day and was looking in molly's cage real hard but what like "what is in there?"... Molly was right under his nose on her tree lol

so what should i put in the cage????? need some ideas want to fill it up by the end of next week :) give me some ideas the cage is 24x18x18

I wouldn't say that's too big for brevs - mine's a 24x18x18, and I put one male, two females in there; with enough planting and vines, they've been fine and happy (see my thread Pyg Pen for pix). You could probably keep a 1.3 group in there without trouble.
I originally got the tank for a White's treefrog; that (or red-eyed tree frogs, or dart frogs) would be another option, especially with your mist system.
Or look at Chris Anderson's post on keeping montanes in glass if you're ready to take the montane plunge.
"What do I put in this cage" is a fun dilemma to be in.

what do i put in this cage thats what i should have named this thread all of long im drifferent towards the montanes but there quite spendie  but i thinks thats the route im going :D

LMAO! I've had friends come over looking forever to see my boy cham and have no idea im holding him. Its so funny telling them to look harder and they'll find him. Eventually they try to fake it and claim they see him! lol:D

hahahahaha i have cousins from norway in right now and they think my veiled is some spawn from hell they wont even hold him lol and they havent heard the hiss yet hahahahaha

and actually i have both those plants put in right now :)
im getting some vines and will put some fake vines or real ones if i can find some

finally done tell me what u think i know everyone likes a lot of photos but couldnt really figure out the attachment option other than that tell me what you think.....manzita branches are going in soon along with some vines

i know it is and i dont do that to any of my pets but i think it looks jurassic and badass...plus it makes for a good photo :) other than that i only run the machine at an 1/8 of its power just enough to keep humidity up and keep water pooled up on some pothos leaves

well sorry to say this but your water in the bottom of the tank is more than likely going to stagnate. which means non-moving water= VERY smelly. ive built terrariums and they need some sort of water movement, or very good drainage. ive only seen a few that can make a tank work with no moving water. other wise you could add some frogs red eye, whites, you could even get a pair of darts or mantellas. but if you go the frog route i would suggest covering most of the top screen with plexi otherwise you will lose out on humidity. they need around 80%+++
