I got my viv all set up and ready and was lucky enough to come across 1:2 locally. I am now the proud owner of a wonderful bearded pygmy collection. They don't move around much but they are as cute as can be.

I am attaching pictures for your enjoyment.

Congrats! "Cute" is one of the things they do well - and, while they don't move much, I found mine were in different places every time I looked.

I know! Leave them for 10 minutes and they disappear to show up someplace else. I rarely see all 3 of them at the same time. One of the females is looking kind of fat, so I'm thinking eggs.

Who all removes the eggs and who just leaves them in the viv? How would you possibly find them? I thought it might just be a better idea to let them hatch where they were laid. Everything should be good for gestation.

They look nice , good pictures.

Are they hard to keep? And is the food just freeranged?

Will do! How many eggs do they lay? They are so small they certainly can't have many eggs. I'm guessing 4-6?

I read that they are good first chams. Once you have the viv set up they pretty much care for themselves. I put the necessary cleaner bugs in to take care of "stuff" and they seem to like fruit flies better then the 1/4's I put in. I just dump them in and wait until I see they are gone before I feed them again. Yes, I keep a top in the viv for safety and security.

Sweet, Sweet -- you will love these lil' guys, they are perpetually cute. I kind of wish I had done the 1.2 instead of the 1.1.

Love the habitat, looks very woodsey. Also, glad to hear you are doing the FF's too. I was starting to wonder if they were getting enough to eat with those. I try to alternate with pins/small crix.

Again, congrats and welcome to wonderful world of pyggies.:):D:)
