new panther cham questions

I'm going to get my first cham in the very near future, he is still a little small so i will keep him in the 30"H x 16"W x 16"D screen enclosure I'm getting from diy cages. there will be a dwarf umbrella tree or a hibiscus (which of the two do you recommend) and some pothos.
i will get a 24 in. florescent fixture with an 18 in reptisum 5.0 and a regular house bulb for the basking spot.
im going to get an automatic mister called: Habba mister by zoo med, i will set it to go off every 3 hours on a 30 second spray, and turn off at night but i will mist with warm (not hot) water before the lights go out so i can keep the humidity up at night.
Silk worms and cricket will be the base of the diet but mostly silkworms and the occasional wax worm and super worm. but meal worms will be more common.

what temp. do you keep your panthers at what is the night time temp?
how humid is it i have herd that it should be 50-60 percent before a misting and rise up to like 80-90%? is this ok?

Do not get the Habba Mister, terrible, everyone calls it the babbaspit, because it really does not mist at all, save some more money and get a mistking, they have the best automatic mist systems around, I would keep the basking spot at around 82, Some more people will help you out on here, and, I would use the umbrella tree, and the ficus if possible, and the pothos, but, either one is good.

Oh, and, dont feed to many silkworms, I know some people that have fed to many to often, and their cham will not eat anything else, and dont feed to many meal worms.

about the mistking I've looked at them and I dont know what to get? what would you recomend from there?

For your size cage, the starter package, its 99.99, and then get the seconds timer. Its a great mist system.

Very good point, I would go with MistKing, Marty is an awesome guy, but their is also other misters, but not for that cheap, and yes I am pretty sure it would, you could add another nozzle, but, and it would not be very expensive.

Avoid using mealworms. Silkworms and crickets are good choices.
I wouldnt spray just before lights out - you want the branches to dry out before they fall asleep. Keep the relative humidity of the room at 50%+ and you dont need to mist at or just before night. Basking spot for a small young chameleon doesnt need to be hot at all. For little ones, I try to keep the temps with a range of 70F cool side to max 80F in the basking spot daytime, ~70F night time. Adults can tolerate 65F as the low and 85F basking.
