I just joined your forum but have been following posts for some time now. I love chameleons!!! I have had many types and even done some breeding in the past. Due to career changes 15 years ago (lots of travel) I hade to get out of collecting and keeping any pets as i could not properly care for them. After a lot of thought and following this forum I have decided to start again. I have the fever bad and and am going to start a small but high quality collection including purhasing all the needed cages and equipment to house 1 male and 2 female Panther Chameleons. Alot has changed and I would like all the help I can get from you folks and any info would be very much appreciated. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum!
Since you didn't ask any specific questions, I'll just point the way to some good resources.
One place to look at collections of good info is the Blogs section.
You'll find a clickable tab in the blue bar near the top of the page.
Here are a few good ones:

and for veiled and panther info

Thanks for the info,I didn't want to ramble to long but I am looking for the best suppliers for cages, lighting misting system etc. Thinking 24x24x48 aluminum screen cages, still looking at lighting, misters, thermastats etc.

I've read plenty of good things about cages from DIY and LLLReptile.
Links to both are on this page:

As far as misting systems go, both Mistking and Aquazamp get many positive comments on the forum.
Aquazamp sells directly only I think, but may be mistaken about that.
Mistking is sold directly and by Josh's Frogs, LLL reptile and others.
Lightyourreptiles has nice lighting, with plenty of positive feedback.
Reptisun 5.0 bulbs are also popular.

You can get some more specifics and ideas on the enclosures and supplies forum here:

My advice is to not get ahead of yourself too quickly. Having too many reptiles and especially chameleons, at once, can be very overwhelming. A lot of people get into the hobby and buy too many, and then in 1 or 2 years you see an ad 'Collection for Sale' because the person gets burnt out so fast.

Take it slow and it is a hobby you will enjoy for the rest of your life :) Welcome to the forum.

congrats on getting back into the hobby. heres my 2 cents. for a misting system i use the mistking and absolutely love it. as for a cage there is a video on youtube called jdog chameleon cage and i built that exact one and it is awesome, easy to build, and much cheaper than premade cages. (you can get all the materials at lowes or home depot). as for lighting i have heard that the reptiglo or reptisun 5.0 linear uvb tubes are perfect (although i dont use them myself) and for a heating lamp a simple incandecsent light bulb will work perfect. anymore questions feel free to ask and im sure many people will help you
