Dear friends I have received a pair of Meller's see like two males, they are nose to vent 10" sure are wild new imports to Florida,
My question is for all you to have experience in new arrivals, is need for a parasite treatment?? if I use Panacur How much and how many times. I am far out of near Vet. all advice will be appreciate.

the chameleons are complete no marks, no peel off. with a little vend at the nose horn. next will send some pics.

Hi Congratulations on your new Melleri!

With my WC Melleri I let them acclimate for several weeks before I even test the feces. This way it gives there immune system the chance to do its job.

I want to mention you should get the feces tested before deworming, this way you know what parasite your dealing with and if your using the proper medication.

Cant wait to see pictures.

I agree with Jessica... Let them settle in a while then have a fecal done before you treat for anything. I would give them LOTS of opportunity for drinking. Do you have a mist system? Good drainage for your cages? My melleri get misted for more than an hour per day and drink ALOT for a long time. Water availability is very important to new imports. Although it is commonly believed melleri are "social" chams and "do better in groups" I think it would be wise to house fresh imports separately while they acclimate to avoid any additional stress and competition, let them adjust in peace, without the stress of sorting out the pecking order before introducing them. Check out www.melleridiscovery.com Cheers!

thanks

Thank you Jessica and Jim : I will follow your advice , by now they drink a lot, and move for all the cage, will try to let them to adapt at the new enclosure, the cages are 4'x4'x2' have drip and fogers. plus a rain for 15 minutes each morning. . well at list is what I have planed for them.
the one is mad is Mustafa the calyptratus, has a view 6 feet front of his cage.
