New Melleri

I picked up Katavi at a reptile show on March 15. He(?) was much smaller than my other two when I got them and very dehydrated and thin. After about three weeks he started eating a lot. I am hoping that he continues to do well. He is in quarantine now, but hopefully he will be able to join Mocuba and Medjumbe in the Melleri Room in the future.

I hope he does well with you. Just needs a good fattening up! I hope there are no complications.

Just a question, does anyone know if mellers do well in groups? I often see them housed in a big room together, and see photos with mellers together, but I always assume it's better to leave chams by themselves.

Anyway, maybe he could be your female's mate! (Since the other mellers she doesn't like as much)

He looks good Deb! I just love the shot of him standing up nice and tall licking the branch. May he continue to do well for you.

Very nice melleri. You are also doing great with him/her. The first pics you could see how sunk the lobes were and with the last pic how much fuller it has become. Pats you on the back!

He's (?) looking good!!! Hope he continues to progress!!!!
Thank you! I hope so too!

Thank you! For lots of information on Melleri, you can go the the Melleri Discovery site. Not updated any more, but still has great information.

Thanks, Jann! The first 3 months are always the hardest for me! I think I am just as stressed as these guys when I first get them.

Thanks! He/she drank right away but wouldn't eat much for the first three weeks. Suddenly, all he will do is eat!

He is beautiful! And great job with the pics.
Thanks!

When I die, I am coming back as a chameleon to live in Deb's chameleon room…:D

Well, if you come back as a Melleri, I'd love to have you! (But your name most likely won't be "Nick"!) :)
