Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Jackson, Male, about 4-5 months, 3 Days
Handling - I've handled him once when I was setting up his new reptibreeze play pin yesterday.
Feeding - Gutloaded crickets I purchased from a reptile store(some of these guys are like bionic). 4-5 crickets and a few live mealworms in his bowl. Once every morning at 8:30am when he wakes up. I put all my crickets in a 5 gallon bucket with some egg carton bottoms and a plate with some Fluker's Orange Cubes.
Supplements - Fluker's Calcium with Vitamin D3(phosphorous free), Rep Cal Herptivite with beta carotene Multivitamins, I was hoping maybe I could get some input on how I should schedule his vitamins.
Watering - About 4-6 times a day, for about 15 seconds enough to soak his leaves, I saw him drinking in his first habitat the 18x18x24 glass terrarium and once in his new screen habitat but I'm thinking its because its new?
Fecal Description - Poop color brown. white eurate very little orange in the tip. No I haven't taken him to the vet for I am letting him adapt to his new environment.
History - I got him at petsmart.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - 16X16X20 ReptiBreeze Screen Habitat.
Lighting - Repti Glo 26w 5.0, compact , and a 75w basking light that is about 6 inches away from the habitat. 8:30am-8-30pm
Temperature - Day Temp: 70F at the bottom, 80F at the highest next to the basking light. Night Temp: 65F bottom 72F Top. One Thermometer at the top next to the basking light. and another at the bottom that i rest just outside the screen.
Humidity - 70% to 75% at times. I mist the cage and make sure the leaves are covered with droplets to help with humidity. I also have a ReptiFogger I use for about 10 mins every 2 or 3 hours to also maintain humidity. Hydrometer Exo-Terra
Plants - So far only 2 bushes of fake leaves and a crazy plastic vine stick thing he like to walk on
Placement - In my bedroom corner near a window but not in any direct view or light from the window. I have a fan in the room that I run at night on the opposite side of the room which is mounted to my wall and pointed towards the top of my window and it cannot at all directly blow on him. he's about 20 inches from the floor on a wooden desk.
Location - I usually am out or downstairs eating or watching tv I have a tv in my room but I keep the volume pretty low and especially when he sleeps.
Current Problem - He has been closing his right eye recently. It used to be when he was basking but now he tends to do it more frequently and will walk around with his eye closed. It isn't puffy, if anything sunken(sinks more when he blinks), I called my local reptile store and he said to wait a day for he might have poked his eye and if the problem doesn't get any better to get him some terramycin from a local vet to rub into his eye.
