LIVE PLANTS!!! Throw a nice tall ficus in there to fill the space. Also, is that a 2x2x4 like we talked about? I just picked up this nice ficus, that is the PERFECT height to go in my 2x2x4, and it was 50% off! It came out to $4.44 at walmart. But, the black plastic pots I like were out of stock.

First I repotted them in organic potting soil with a layer of organic topsoil. Tip: cut out a piece of aluminum screen to fit in the bottom of the pot before putting in soil, this keeps any soil from falling out of the drainage holes. Then once repotted, I cut out a piece of fiberglass screen to cover the soil, and then put a layer of river stones over the screen. Make sure the stones are rounded and don't have sharp edges. The stones I used were called "egg rock" from the walmart garden section.

PS: Make sure there is no perlite in the soil, I have bought "100% Organic Soil" that contains it. Its the little white styrofoam balls they put in it.

How does the plant get water?

How does the plant get water?

It gets some water from the misting system but I also spray a little water through the rocks from my pump sprayer every couple days. The rocks and screen do not impede water getting into the soil though. Here are some examples of my method.

As for bamboo, I believe most types are safe, however the structure of bamboo is not good for climbing on, the stalks can also be slick and hard to grip.

I'm not going to lie, I barely slept the night before I got Hawkeye. I fell asleep at like 1:30 am and popped up at 5:00am without an alarm and sat around for about four and a half hours watching the clock. lol

The smaller cage is probably a good temporary cage. I keep all of my chameleons in smaller ones like that until they begin to get larger. Easier to keep track of how much food they get, how much they poop, when they drink, if they are using the drip system, where they are, etc. Also, if you want to get a plant that will grow vines like a mad-man, I recommend a Pothos plant from Wal-mart, Lowes, etc. Again, wash it very well, and cover the dirt in large stones like Kaian suggested! Your cham will be beautiful, Kammers Chams are amazing!
