New here & our setup

Hello! New here, and to Chameleons. We have had our girl Scarlet for just a few weeks now. Soon as we got her, hubby went to work making her a home made enclosure. After research - both here and around other places. We came up with this.
The finished project is a little over 6ft tall and 2 1/2 feet wide. It is naturally planted, (we are still working on more as well) and has a feeding/watering shelf. The concealed bottom holds 2 large pots - one has large potted tree (with plenty of room to grow) and one dedicated to being an egg box with sand for her lay eggs in. (It is screened so she can only access about 6 inches into the pot. For her safety, with Drainage below the sand) Natural smooth stones of various sizes, provide coverage for dirt areas, and extra surface areas for drinking after misting. (A drip system for drinking is also set up into one of plants that is able to be changed out to avoid over watering) We have new lights on order, but right now she has a standard basking spot & daylight bulb.
Scarlet is also quite spoiled and spends several afternoons a week enjoying the lilac bush in my front yard hunting prey & soaking in natural light. She enjoys her time outside and often begs for us to take her out. She is quite the character!

Kinda looks like scarlet has a spur on one of the pics and last ones looks more like a male coloration. I'm not too knowledgeable on veiled females but someone correct me if I'm wrong

Beautiful set up. Scarlet actually looks like a male to me... Looks like a little bump on the back of the hind feet in the third pic you have up there. Beautiful Cham though! ;)

Wow that looks awesome so far! And I love the name Scarlet for her. They really are amazing little lives to watch and enjoy.

I was thinking the same thing! Beautiful Cham tho
Where I got her from said she was a girl, and when we looked at pictures of spurs she didn't appear to have them to us. Here are some better shots - obviously we are not experts..;)

Yep looks male and the colors are male colors, females stay mostly green and really no color most of the time. He's a really beautiful Cham good luck with him!

I'm still fairly new myself but there are several very experienced owners on here that are more familiar and will be so very helpful! Looks like you're doing a great job so far. That enclosure is awesome

I own a female and she looks nothing like that, if that is a female I wish my girl had those bars and colors, and she doesn't have a bump on her feet...o_O

I agree about the bars, and I'm looking on a small screen, but I can't see a bump, just a lighter patch.
